SCC Community Groups & Triads

Community Groups & bible study Triads are intentional gatherings who meet regularly to encourage and support each other’s spiritual journeys.

These small gatherings provide an environment where you can experience authentic community, where both burdens and resources can be shared and Gospel values are lived out. These are groups of families, students, retirees or cross-generational gatherings. Some meet for a potluck meal, over Zoom or in our church building. Groups meet weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. The structure and timing is entirely a matter of choice. If you would like help connecting, please reach out to the church office.

SCC Triads - Growing Together in Christ.

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I with them.” – Matthew 18:20

Triads are a simple, intentional way to walk with others as we follow Jesus-- kind of like a mini, relationship-focused bible study.

  • Triads form naturally around existing friendships or affinity.

  • They allow trust and transparency to develop more quickly than is often possible in larger groups.

  • The triad format is simple and flexible. Anyone can participate—including teens.

So, what is a Triad?

A triad is a group of three people who have committed to encouraging one another, listening to the Holy Spirit through Scripture, and supporting one another’s walk with Christ. Some triads meet for a season, and some choose to continue meeting indefinitely.

How do I join a Triad?

  • One person takes the initiative by inviting a friend.

  • That friend invites a third person to join.

  • That’s it! You have a triad.

If you’d like help connecting to a triad, email John Cuyler at jcuyler@storrschurch.org, and he’ll do his best to pair you with others who are interested.

What are the commitments of a Triad?

  • Bible Reading – This fall, Triad groups will read selected scripture passages (3 per week) on the theme “Love Alone is Credible”. Sunday’s message will connect with one of the passages from the week’s readings, allowing the whole church to grow together in God’s Word.

  • Weekly Meeting (30 min) – Share what you heard, how you responded, and pray for each other.

  • Register Your Triad – Please register your triad using the button above. Weekly triad readings will be emailed out to all registered groups.
